About Us

Already Read Used Books, the independent used bookshop opened its doors to the public on Duke Street, just west of Telegraph Road on June 4, 2006.

Our mission is to provide quality used books to our present and future customers.

We are an independently owned brick & mortar book store located on Duke Street west of Telegraph Road in Alexandria, VA stocking a wide variety of books. Our specialities include military and general history, cookbooks, scifi/fantasy, and mysteries/crime fiction; however, we have a little of everything.

We have a collection of about 16,000 individual titles in the store that range from hard-to-find scholarly tomes to bargain copies of recent novels. Many of our titles are no longer be found in a new bookstore.

Whatever your interests, we can find you something worthwhile to read.
